Q: Why would I want to join the
Optimist Club?
A: If you are interested in the future of your City,
County, State, and the USA, be a positive influence in the life of a
child. The Optimist Club is a great vehicle for active
mentoring of young people. Come visit us and see how you may
fit in.
Q: What sort of time commitment is
expected?
A: As you might expect, some members are more active than others.
Some members view their membership as primarily a financial
contribution, and we happily use their dues to fund our many
community projects. Others are present for every meeting and
every project. It takes a lot of soldiers to make an army and
we would be happy to march with you.
Q: What is the cost of membership?
A: The initial fee which includes a membership pin
and certificate, as well as dues for the first month is $50.
The monthly dues are then $25. Breakfast is
included in the dues! What a deal!
For those who are unable to attend the morning meetings, the monthly
dues are only $15. We have 1 evening meeting monthly, usually
at Golden Coral and it's Dutch Treat.
